Quanta uses the following open-source libraries. We thank their developers and communities for their work.

Fonts served by Quanta itself are listed below. We also serve the KaTeX formula fonts, included in the KaTeX package under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, from our own servers. If an educational institution selects a different font from the Google Fonts catalogue for its workspace, the open licence shown there for that font applies; the font name, author and licence text are available in that catalogue. We serve those files through our own servers too.
These libraries run only on our servers and are not delivered to your browser. We use two packages, the Mistral client and genkitx-mistral, with small modifications documented in the source code. Those modifications remain under the same licence as the respective package.
Quanta generates AI-assisted learning content grounded in sources. The content is derived from open educational sources whose full text is retrieved and used as evidence. The specific source, author, licence and link are shown on every flashcard in the application, providing attribution for each use. The categories below describe the sources used and their Creative Commons licences or public-domain status. Where licensing is checked separately for each article, we use only material under an open licence that permits adaptations.
Each flashcard identifies its underlying source and licence in the application. Content from CC BY-SA sources is subject to share-alike requirements and is distributed under the same licence. Learning content is no longer generated without a supporting source; flashcards created that way previously retain a visible ‘AI knowledge’ label in the application.

Full texts of German federal law and European Union legislation
Academic and statistical publications under open licences

Each element displays one of three representations: a specimen photograph with checked attribution, an illustration generated by Quanta Study, or, where neither is available, an explicitly labelled data-based representation without an image file. The media manifest records the source, author, licence, modifications and file checksum for every image file delivered.
These specimen photographs are served locally rather than loaded from Commons.
